2026 Summer Workshop in Da Nang – Part II

On the fourth day of the summer workshop, KOPEL visited Ba Na Hills, one of the most popular attractions in Da Nang.

The group took the cable car to the top of the mountain and first visited the Golden Bridge, which is famous for its unique design featuring two giant hands supporting the walkway. Everyone enjoyed the panoramic views from the mountain and took group photos together.

The group then moved to the French Village, where the members had free time to explore the European-style buildings and attractions. Professor Cho and the KOPEL members also rode the alpine coaster together, creating another fun and memorable moment during the workshop.

For lunch, the group visited the Four Seasons Buffet Restaurant and enjoyed a wide variety of dishes. After lunch, the members stopped by the brewery at Ba Na Hills and sampled two glasses of locally brewed beer. They then spent the rest of their free time enjoying the rides and attractions throughout the park.

Located high above sea level, Ba Na Hills offered a cooler and more comfortable climate than downtown Da Nang. The refreshing weather, beautiful scenery, and various attractions made the visit especially enjoyable.

After returning from Ba Na Hills, the group headed to Moc Seafood Restaurant, one of the best-known seafood restaurants in Da Nang, for their final dinner of the trip. Everyone shared six different dishes, including butter garlic shrimp and scallops with green onion oil, and enjoyed a satisfying meal together. The dinner brought the final evening in Da Nang to a warm and enjoyable close.

Over the course of the five-day workshop, KOPEL members had the opportunity to exchange research ideas, spend time together outside the laboratory, and create many lasting memories.

We sincerely thank Professor Cho for organizing this meaningful workshop and for spending the entire trip with the members. We also appreciate everyone who helped prepare and participate in the program. The 2026 KOPEL Summer Workshop provided a valuable opportunity for the members to strengthen their relationships and return to their research with renewed energy.
