Konkuk University’s Power Electronics Lab won the Grand Prize at the Hyundai Mobis Electrification Outstanding Paper Competition. Ph.D. candidates Kwonhoon Kim, Yujin Shin, and Jaehyeok Jang were recognized for a control technique to improve EV charging system efficiency, focusing on a maximum efficiency point tracking (MEPT) algorithm for high-voltage EV on-board chargers.

Yujin Shin (Ph.D. candidate) from Konkuk University received the Best Poster Presentation Award at ICEMS 2025 for her work on vector rotation error compensation in high-frequency grid-connected PFC systems.

Master’s student Seongeun Lee received the Outstanding Paper Award for proposing a ZSCC reduction strategy using carrier phase inversion in grid-connected parallel inverters.

Prof. Younghoon Cho received the “Most Papers Published Lab” award for KOPEL’s outstanding publication record in the KIPE Transactions from December 2024 to October 2025.

Jaehyeok Jang (Ph.D., Konkuk University) received the ICEMS 2025 Outstanding Paper Award for “Design of an Integrated Planar Magnetic-Based LLC Resonant Converter for Enhanced Power Density in Aircraft Power Systems.”
