On the third day of the summer workshop, KOPEL held its annual laboratory seminar at the Hyatt Regency Danang Resort & Spa in Da Nang, Vietnam.

The seminar began with opening remarks from Professor Young-hoon Cho, who shared valuable advice on the mindset and attitude expected of researchers. Drawing from his own experience, Professor Cho encouraged the members to embrace challenges with confidence and continue pursuing their research with passion and determination. His closing message, "Just live by taking on whatever comes your way," left a lasting impression on everyone and served as an encouraging reminder to approach every opportunity without hesitation.

The first technical presentation was given by Dr. Dohong Lee, who introduced the topic "Understanding and Analysis of Resonant Converters." His presentation provided a clear explanation of the operating principles and analysis methods of resonant converters, helping the audience build a deeper understanding of the subject.

Next, Daehyun Na (M.S. Candidate) presented "Design of a PCB-Based Integrated Matrix Transformer for an 11-kW Bidirectional CLLC Resonant Converter." He shared the design process and research outcomes of his work, followed by a discussion with the laboratory members.

The seminar continued with a presentation by Boosung Kim (Ph.D. Candidate) on "Anti-Jerk and Mass Estimator," introducing research on improving vehicle control performance.

The final presentation was delivered by Taewon Park (Ph.D. Candidate) on "Analysis of Current Reference for Torque and DC-Link Current Ripple Reduction in IPMSM." He presented his research on current reference analysis for reducing torque ripple and DC-link current ripple in IPMSM drive systems.

The seminar provided an excellent opportunity for KOPEL members to learn about a wide range of research topics and exchange ideas with one another. We sincerely thank all of the presenters for sharing their work and valuable insights. Their presentations offered meaningful learning experiences and inspired everyone to continue pursuing excellence in their own research.
