On November 12, 2025 (Wed), Sanghoon Moon, Senior Manager at Hyundai Motor Group’s Electrified Powertrain Design Division (R&D Center), visited Konkuk University to deliver a seminar titled “Trends in Electric Vehicle Technologies.”

The lecture covered the overall landscape of EV and hybrid vehicle development, highlighting the recent slowdown in EV market growth and Hyundai’s focus on hybrid technology as a key bridge strategy. Mr. Moon emphasized the company’s commitment to Carbon Neutrality 2045 and shared Hyundai’s long-term electrification roadmap. He also introduced Hyundai’s proprietary 2-stage inverter (x-in-1 system) and explained the technical distinctions between HEV, EREV, and BEV systems.

The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, fostering active discussion among participants on the future of vehicle electrification.
