APEC 2026

From March 22 to 26, 2026, the KOPEL team attended APEC 2026 held in San Antonio, Texas, USA. During the conference, three papers were presented by Mincheol Kim, Taeweon Park, and Jaehyuk Jang, all Ph.D. students of KOPEL. In addition, six KOPEL undergraduate researchers participated in the IFEC 2026 Workshop at APEC on March 22 and gave a presentation based on the 2026 IFEC topic, Affordable Bidirectional Onboard Charger for Electric Vehicles.

Throughout the conference, the students took part in the technical program and social meetings, where they had valuable opportunities to interact with leading researchers from around the world. These experiences allowed them to broaden their academic perspective and gain deeper insight into current research trends in power electronics.

After the conference, the team also spent an enjoyable time in Texas, visiting local attractions and touring the headquarters of Texas Instruments. This trip provided not only meaningful academic experiences, but also memorable opportunities to explore the local area and further expand their understanding of the global power electronics industry.
